K2BSA and 2013 Boy Scout Jamboree

K2BSA has been at every Jamboree since the 1977, right after it was first licensed. The 2013 Jamboree will be no exception. Amateur radio activities  at this year's Jamboree include a Demonstration Station, Radio Merit Badge  classes, ARDF Fox Hunting, High Altitude Balloon Launches with radio  tracking, Radio Contact with the International Space Station, APRS
demonstrations, VEC testing and more.
To learn more about the K2BSA operation at the 2013 Jamboree, please check
out the K2BSA web site.  To learn more about The Summit and the Jamboree, check out the Jamboree website.

The Boy Scouts need the help of hams by getting on the air and talking to the 4,000 scouts and visitors that will pass through the demonstration station during the 10 days of the 2013 Jamboree (July 13 through July 23, 2013).  These contacts will take place primarily between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm each day. Stations will be operating SSB and PSK31. There will also be Echolink connectivity and a D-Star repeater on site.  Check out the Jamboree Live page of the K2BSA web site for details on anticipated operating frequencies.
