FCC Technician Exam Question Of The Day (T5D08)

Q) What is the current flowing through a 100-ohm resistor connected across 200 volts?

A) 2 amperes

NJ2X Notes:
Ohm's Law was discovered by Georg Simon Ohm and is worth committing to memory:

E = I * R

or by manipulating the terms algebraically:

I = E / R

or

R = E / I

In this example:

I = E / R
I = 200 volts / 100 ohms = 2 amperes
